Booking Policy & Procedures

Once you have decided to book your entertainment services with Creative Parties for Kids a party consultant will gather all of your pertinent information about your event and create a confirmation letter.

If you do not get this letter in a timely fashion (within 2 days of booking -if you don't get the letter within 2 days of booking -call the office and confirm that it has been sent...to confirm your email address etc. At times, and due to the sensitive nature of email, the letters get caught in junk mail or there may be a slight error in email address.)
The consultant and the client will discuss the price, theme, location and details. A confirmation letter / contract will be sent to you via email.

We do require an upfront deposit of an agreed upon amount (usually 50%)

to be paid upon the time of booking. This secures your entertainment and planning that goes with creating your event. The typical method of payment is credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), or a check may be mailed to our office at 528 West 19th Street, Santa Ana, CA 92706.

The check must have time to clear funds before the event.

We then cast and begin the planning process. casting is subject to change without notice. We do try to notify you immediately if there is a change..which is pretty rare.  We use independent contractors who have been screened and trained. However, due to the creative nature of the talent and their schedules of being in plays, movies, and at times illness, we can only attempt to make sure the casting remains as planned. Most of the time this is not a problem, however, we will not send ill entertainers to a children's event. We have party outlines and event standards that all entertainers utilize.

You will have the phone and email of the entertainer scheduled for your event. Direct communication to client is expected at least three days in advance of event and you are welcome to call them as well. They are under non-compete agreements, so once they have come to your event under CPFK all future bookings must be made through CPFK or they will be liable for breech of contract.

The deposit is non-refundable but in case of emergency, weather, illness etc. it may be transferred to another date with at least one week notice to Creative Parties for Kids. There is a one year time limit on using this transfer. You may transfer the deposit to a friend or family member, in case you can't use it in a timely manner.

Creative Parties for Kids expects payment in full in cash, money order or check at the event. If the client wants to use a credit card to pay the balance, these arrangements must be made in writing in advance and the card needs to be charged 2 days in advance of event, so funds are available to pay entertainers. If this arrangement is not made and card is used to pay at event, full card information needs to be given to entertainer again, Name, Card Number, Billing Address, Zip, Amount etc and there is a $8 fee for paying balance with card. If a check does not clear for deposit or balance there is a $33 fee for insufficient funds charge (from our bank to us) and a $25 charge to client ( for inconvenience of insufficient funds and the time it takes us to resolve the matter)

Tips may be given in cash to the entertainers. The balance must be paid to Creative Parties for Kids, as we pay the entertainers once the supplies and costumes are returned.
